Her works include solo-ish performances like “Karen, I Said,” “Toilet Fire,” and “Aloha, Aloha, or When I Was Queen,” as well as plays such as “Indeed, Friend!” and “The Hotel Colors.” Bent’s shows have been developed and produced at notable venues like Abrons Arts Center, the New Ohio, and the Atlantic Theatre. She holds a BA in philosophy from Boston College and an MFA in playwriting from Brooklyn College. Currently, Bent is a lecturer in the Radio TV & Film department at Northwestern University.
